It’s a very sweet rub containing about 60% brown sugar that packs big bold and sweet BBQ flavor. Sweety is formulated only for low and slow indirect smoke cooking to prevent burning of the rub. Traditional Kansas City BBQ relies on sauce at the end of the smoke, but this rub definitely does not need sauce at the end.
